The plastic sand sheets from the Taiwanese manufacturer HEBE® are an attractive alternative to the conventional metal sand sheets or the heavy-weight fiberglass waffle boards. Made of impact-resistant and break-proof polypropylene plastic (PP), they make it easier to recover vehicles in mud, sand and snow. They can withstand severe bending without the risk of breakage and can be used up to a temperature of - 30 ° Celsius.
They are significantly lighter and easier to use than conventional sand sheets made of aluminum or steel. Simply slide the flattened ends under the tires as far as possible and drive off. Large knobs give the tires a very good grip. Side handles make handling easy and, unlike aluminum sand sheets, there are no sharp edges that could damage the vehicle or even injure your hands. This also makes it easier to transport on or in the vehicle.
Delivery is always made in pairs. The color is orange.
COMMITMENTIf a vehicle is buried in the sand, then it is usually sufficient to remove the mountain of sand in front of the tire and push the board as far as possible under the tire. If you can still go backwards, simply back up and put the sandboard on the hollow. Recovery is easier when both tires on one axle have grip. Therefore use sandboards on both sides.
In vehicles without a differential lock, one wheel often spins while the other wheel, which has grip, simply stops. Here, too, simply slide the sandboard under the spinning wheel, which is usually not a problem due to the flattened sides, and drive off.
The HEBE sandboards not only help with the recovery of broken-down vehicles, but also help with overcoming obstacles that otherwise seem insurmountable due to a lack of traction or that could only be overcome at high speed and with the risk of accident or damage to the vehicle. The driveway on a dam is an example of an obstacle that appears easy at first.
The HEBE sandboards are made of extremely break-proof PP plastic and can withstand severe bending without the risk of breakage. They can therefore also be used for driving onto obstacles or crossing narrow fords. Even if they bend heavily, they always offer enough traction to overcome the obstacle.
When driving over the sandboards, they can hit the vehicle due to uneven loading or be thrown against the vehicle if the wheels are spinning and the ground is loose. Sharp-edged aluminum sand sheets or the heavy waffle boards can then cause severe damage to the vehicle. This risk is relatively low with the HEBE plastic boards.
When used in soft ground, the sandboards may be pushed deep into the ground. Here, too, the lightweight plastic boards have an advantage. Rescue is made easier by the handle openings. There is no risk of injury when handling due to the lack of sharp edges and rough surfaces. The recovery of sandboards can be made easier by tying a rope. Because some sandboards have not been found stuck deep in the dirt.
When using it, make sure not to let the tires spin too long or too intensely on the boards. The resulting heat can melt away and damage the boards.
The HEBE plastic sand plates are intended for use on the ground. If they are only partially supported, they will bend under load, but will not break. They are therefore not suitable for use as "bridges" to overcome trenches. If necessary, it can be used as a climbing aid on steps that are too high to be climbed without aids.
For the reasons mentioned above, HEBE does not specify any load capacity for the sand plates.
Specially designed for use in sand and snow. Thanks to the handles at the end and sides and the specially shaped front, the sandboard can also be used as a shovel. With a clamp, the two sandboards can be connected to each other for use on an even surface. The two sand plates can be connected with the clamp and two Velcro strips for transport.
